(Minghui.org) Mr. Li Dongman was illegally sentenced to four years in prison by the Hexi District Court in Tianjin City in May 2014. This is the second time the Hexi District Court sentenced Mr. Li.
Arrested and Sentenced
Mr. Li was arrested on October 12, 2013, when he was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong over the phone. On that same evening, nine police officers from Youyilu Police Station broke into his home and ransacked it. They confiscated his computer, a USB drive, Falun Dafa books and other items.
The Hexi District Court brought Mr. Li to trial on December 20, 2013. The court sentenced him to four years of imprisonment on May 27, 2014. He has since appealed to the next level court. He is still currently being held at the Hexi Detention Center.
Background and Prior Arrest
Mr. Li Dongman, 38, was an engineer at the Railway Design Institute. He lived at the No.14 building in Longju Park, Daci Township of Xiqing District.
Mr. Li was arrested in April 2009 when he was speaking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. He was later sentenced to three years in prison. At that time, he was taken to the Gangbei Prison to be persecuted.
