(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 2007, and have told people about the practice and the persecution for a number of years. I believe it is important to help other practitioners learn how to talk to people who have incorrect perceptions about Dafa. We can then learn from each other in how to best help these people.
Exchanging Paper Currency with Content about Falun Dafa
One way practitioners in China let people know about Dafa is to use or exchange paper currency with messages about Dafa printed on them. I had 17,000 yuan of such currency during the winter of 2012 and went to the market to exchange them for other money.
Several of the stall owners happily exchanged the paper currency and used it as change for their customer transactions.
I went to a stall selling vegetables, where a woman there asked me what I was doing. I explained that I was exchanging paper currency with content about Falun Dafa written on the bills.
She took a bill, examined it and then expressed her anger. “You eat and drink what the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) gives you,” she said. “How can you be against it?” She wanted to report me to the police.
I asked Master for help, and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the interference in other dimensions.
The woman discovered she had left her phone at home, so she asked the people around her to use their phones, but everyone ignored her. She told me to stay put while she went to ask some others.
As I was about to leave on my bike, a meat seller said that he wanted to exchange some of the paper currency if I had any left. Just as we had finished, the woman returned and grabbed hold of my bike.
She kept yelling, “You eat and drink what the CCP gives you.” I replied, “Don't be like this. I was very ill in the past but recovered after I practiced Falun Dafa. The CCP has no right to persecute Dafa practitioners.” But she kept yelling.
Suddenly, she let go of my bike. The meat seller said, “What are you waiting for? Go, quickly.” I got on my bike and left, continually asking Master for help. The woman didn't try to follow me, but just kept yelling for me to come back.
I knelt down in front of Master's picture when I got home, and said, “Master, I had the attachment of showing off today. I took too much money and didn't consider my safety. The old forces took advantage of the situation. They controlled that woman and almost caused her to commit a crime against a Dafa practitioner. I have learned my lesson and will be more cautious from now on. Thank you, Master Li.”
Finding the Courage to Talk to a Police Officer
I was talking to people about Dafa in a market in the summer of 2012 when a police officer walked towards me. We looked at each other, and I felt as if I knew him from the past. I thought, “He has a predestined relationship with me. I must talk to him about Dafa.”
As I had not talked to a police officer before, I just couldn't muster the courage to open my mouth. I thought that it would have helped if a practitioner sent forth righteous thoughts in our proximity. So due to my fear, I missed that opportunity to talk with him.
I met the officer again some time later, and I was with a fellow practitioner at the time. I thought that Master had seen my mind last time and arranged for a practitioner to be with me this time. But I still had fear and concerns for our safety, so I missed the opportunity again. I felt very bad.
The same police officer was at the market in the winter of 2012. I was surprised and said to myself that I couldn't miss him again, and that I wasn’t worthy of being Master Li's disciple if I did. I knew I must talk to him.
I followed him, and after a while he seemed to notice me. He stopped and then started walking again. I overcame my anxiety and walked up to him.
He asked me, “Do you need something?” I replied “I want to save you.” He looked clearly puzzled.
I told him, “Quit the CCP and you will be safe,” and provided him with some basic information about Dafa and the persecution.
He had joined the CCP's Young Pioneers, Youth League, and the Party. I said, “Let me give you the pseudonym 'Success' to withdraw from all of them. You will be successful in whatever you do from now on.” He nodded and agreed to quit.
Something that I thought would be so difficult was accomplished very easily. He accepted the Falun Dafa informational materials whenever I saw him after that.
Using All Opportunities to Let People Know About Dafa
Practitioners in our area agreed that the environment was very good. When someone reported a practitioner to the authorities, the police would purposely delay getting there, which allowed the practitioner(s) enough time to get away. I was quite inspired when I heard of these experiences.
I went to the local police station in the winter of 2012 and met an officer who was on his way out. I asked him if he had a snow shovel, and told him that I was not busy and had time to shovel the snow in front of the station. He didn't have one, and said that the street cleaners would take care of it.
I took the opportunity to tell him that he should withdraw from the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers, so he would not be implicated when the Party met its demise.
He quickly looked around to see if any other officers were within earshot. “You are so brave,” he said. “Why do you dare talk about this in front of the police station?”
“Just look at how corrupt the CCP is,” I continued. “CCP officials accept bribes, regardless of whether they are of a high or low rank. But so many people don't have enough money to go to the hospital or send their children to good schools.”
“You are so right,” he replied. “I worked for a company after I retired from the military, but I still couldn’t afford to live, so now I work as a police assistant. I have joined each of those three organizations you mentioned. Please quit for me.”
Another time I attended the trial of a fellow practitioner. A police officer said to the practitioner's mother, “Can't she do something else? You should advise your daughter to quit this Falun Dafa.”
I could hear their conversation, and said. “Every person who learns Falun Dafa has benefited from it. People often say, 'when you drink water from the well, don't forget the person who dug it.' The CCP made up all the slanderous lies about Dafa, such as the Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax. The CCP's minions are the bad people.”
The officer didn't say a word.
