Additional Persecution News from China – March 24, 2016 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Mr. Qin Jincheng Detained

Mr. Qin Jincheng, arrested by officers from Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City on November 13, 2015, is detained at the Xiuwu County Detention Center.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fang Shujie and Ms. Tang Shuyan Arrested

Ms. Fang Shujie and Ms. Tang Shuyan were arrested at home on March 15, 2016.

3. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Su Ying Detained

Ms. Su Ying was arrested at home by officers from the Shuangtaizi District Police Department Domestic Security Division and Criminal Division on March 21, 2016. She is detained at the Panjin City Detention Center.

4. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Mr. Chen Fengyun and Ms. Chen Yanqiu Detained

Mr. Chen Fengyun was arrested by officers from the Fengyingzi Police Station on March 21, 2016, for posting informational signs about the persecution of Falun Gong.

That day, Ms. Chen Yanqiu was arrested at home by officers from the Fengyingzi Police Station. The police confiscated a laptop computer and a printer.

Both are detained at the Shuangfengsi Detention Center in Chengde City.

5. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wei Lesheng and Ms. Huang Yuping Detained

Mr. Wei Lesheng, in his 40s, and Ms. Huang Yuping, in her 40s, were arrested by officers from Qihe County 610 Office and Police Station on March 1, 2016. They were detained at the Qihe County Detention Center for 15 days.

6. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Meng Lidong, Ms. Ma Yan, and Ms. Sun Jingjie Detained

Ms. Meng Lidong, Ms. Ma Yan, and Ms. Sun Jingjie were arrested by officers from the Tiedong Police Station and the Xinhua Police Station on March 20, 2016. They were detained at the Fuyu County Detention Center for 10 days and held hunger strikes to protest the illegal detention.

7. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Qinglan Detained

Ms. Lu Qinglan was arrested by officers from the Xinji Town Police Station on March 20, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

8. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Yanbin Detained

Mr. Liu Yanbin, 49, was arrested at home by officers from the Nangong City Domestic Security Division in late February 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. He is detained at Nangong No. 2 Detention Center.

9. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Fu Suilan and Ms. Li Fengbo Detained

Ms. Fu Suilan and Ms. Li Fengbo, from Hengyang City, Hunan Province, were arrested by officers from the Liandu District Police Department in Lishui City on March 7, 2016. They are detained at the Lishui City Detention Center. Ms. Fu went on a hunger strike for more than ten days to protest the illegal detention.

10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Xinhua Detained

Ms. Dong Xinhua, in her 40s, from Jingxing County, was arrested in August 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and computers. She is detained in Room 306 at the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center.

11. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cai Ling and Her Daughter Detained

Ms. Cai Ling and her daughter were arrested at home on February 18, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. Their home was ransacked. They are detained at the Wendeng Detention Center.
