Additional Persecution News from China – November 21, 2017 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Liu Ailian Arrested

Ms. Liu Ailian from Yuanbaoshan District was arrested by police and residential committee staff on November 20, 2017. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books, calendars, and personal belongings. Ms. Liu is held in the Yuanbaoshan Police Station.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Haiyan Arrested

Ms. Sun Haiyan, 35, was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Beixinqiao Police Station on November 8, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials along the way to work. Four or five officers took her back to the place she rented and videotaped the place.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Meng Fan'ai Arrested

Ms. Meng Fan'ai, about 70, was arrested on November 11, 2017.

4. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zheng Hua Arrested

Mr. Zheng Hua, about 50, was recently arrested.

5. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Xirong Detained

The Shuangluan District Police attempted to arrest Mr. Wang Xirong. Mr. Wang, in his 60s, left home and became displaced. He returned home in early November 2017. He was arrested by Domestic Security officers on November 15. He is being held in the Shuangluan District Detention Center.

6. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Aijiao's Family Arrested

Officers from the Xiaogan City SWAT Team and personnel of the local residential community went to Ms. Wang Aijiao's home and ransacked it on the evening of November 15, 2017. They confiscated all her Falun Gong books and DVDs. Ms. Wang was in a serious state of illness. Her non-practitioner husband and her younger brother, who is a practitioner, were arrested. Both were released after 2:00 a.m. that night.

7. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yan Zhenxiang was arrested at home by officers from the Development Zone Police Station and personnel of the local residential community at noon on November 17, 2017.

Ms. Yan Haibo and her brother Mr. Yan Haisheng, who are Ms. Yan Zhenxiang's cousins, were arrested on November 12, 2017.

8. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiong Jiwei Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Xiong Jiwei was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on November 17, 2017.

9. [Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Lijun Given a One-Year Prison Term

Mr. Ma Lijun was given a one-year prison term in early November 2017.

10. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yonghua Arrested

Ms. Li Yonghua, 62, was arrested on November 20, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. Officers from the Suizhong County Domestic Security Division ransacked her home.

Ms. Zhang Rongjin from Heishan County was given a one-and-a-half-year prison term by the Heishan Court. She was taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison on September 12, 2017.

12. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Guangyuan was given a five-year prison term by the Lishan District Court, Mr. Gao Hongbo a three-year, and Mr. Zhang Weihua a five-year prison term. They appealed, and the intermediate court upheld the original verdicts.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Lai Henghui Detained

Ms. Lai Henghui, 57, from Beibei District, is being held in the Pipashan Park Detention Center, Yuzhong District.

14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qin Aimin and Ms. Yuan Hong Detained

Ms. Qin Aimin and Ms. Yuan Hong were arrested by officers from the Youzheng Police Station on the afternoon of November 19, 2017. Their homes were ransacked around 9:00 p.m. Both practitioners are being held in a detention center.
