Additional Persecution News from China – November 22, 2017 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested.

1. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Fan Peixiu Arrested

Ms. Fan Wenxiu from Qianlianghu Town has been held in the Yuxi Detention Center for over two months. To rescue her, her elder sister Ms. Fan Peixiu went to the Caisanghu Police Station, Junshan District, to talk to director Li Jun on the morning of November 6, 2017. She was also arrested. She returned home on November 11.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners' Verdicts Upheld

The Shenyang Intermediate Court upheld the original verdicts against three practitioners: Mr. Liu Defu was given a three-year prison term and fined 20,000 yuan. He has been taken to the Xinshou prison. Ms. Wu Naiying and Ms. Zhang Qinghua were each given a three-year prison term and fined 20,000 yuan.

3. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Officially Placed Under Arrest

The cases of Ms. Su Cuirong, Ms. Liu, and Ms. Wu from Bincheng District were turned over to the district Procuratorate by the Bincheng District Domestic Security Division. The three practitioners were officially placed under arrest.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Zhengyu Detained

Ms. Sun Zhengyu was arrested by officers from the Huanggu Police Department on September 20, 2017. She is held in the Shenyang Detention Center.

5. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Jun Faces Second Trial

Mr. Gao Jun was arrested on July 5, 2017. He has been held in the Liaoyang County Detention Center. He was tried on November 3 and will be tried again at the Liaoyang County Court on November 23.

6. [Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Chen Dehua, Ms. Wei, Ms. Wu Suying, and Ms. Chen Xiuqion from Wudu Town were arrested by officers from the Wudu Police Station on the evening of November 8, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. Mr. Chen and Ms. Wei returned home after 2:00 a.m. that night. Ms. Wu and Ms. Chen's whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Yonghua Detained

Mr. Li Yonghua was arrested on November 20, 2017. He is held in the Huludao City Detention Center.

8. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Guixiang was given a two-year-and-six-month prison term and fined 2,000 yuan on June 20, 2017. She was taken to the Changchun Prison.

Ms. Cheng Xiumei was arrested at work on November 8, 2017. She was detained for 10 days. She has returned home.

Ms. Li Jinying was arrested on November 9, 2017. She was detained for 10 days. She has returned home.

Mr. Xu Yongshan was arrested and his home ransacked by officers from the Qianjin Police Station. The officers also confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Mr. Xu was detained for five days. He has returned home.

Mr. Piao Hongpei was arrested on November 10, 2017. He was detained for five days. He has returned home.

Mr. Liu Bingyu and his younger brother Mr. Liu Donghai from Xiangyang Township were arrested and their home was ransacked by Domestic Security officers on November 10, 2017. They were detained for 15 days.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qin Aimin and Ms. Yuan Hong Detained

Ms. Qin Aimin and Ms. Yuan Hong were arrested by officers from the Youzheng Police Station on the afternoon of November 19, 2017. They are being held in a detention center.

10. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Xiulan Detained

Ms.Yu Xiulan from the Xishaoguotun area, Xichedian Village, Caijiagou Town, was arrested by Tang Qi, an officer from the Caijiagou Town Police Station, and village security staff on November 20, 2017. She was detained for seven days.

11. [Shanghai] Ms. Ren Fengmei Detained

Ms. Ren Fengmei from Jing'an District was held in the Hongkou District Detention Center. The Hongkou District Domestic Security Division has turned her case over to the Hongkou District Procuratorate, upon whose approval, she will be officially placed under arrest.

Ms. Yu Xiaoyue from Ningyuan Town, Bin County, was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on November 21, 2017. She was arrested.

13. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Xiuying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Xiuying was arrested by officers from the Shapo Police Station on the afternoon of November 21, 2017. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

14. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wu Baochen and Ms. Xu Lihua Arrested

Mr. Wu Baochen from Taolaizhao Town was arrested at home by officers from the Taolaizhao Town Police Station on the evening of November 16, 2017. He was taken to a detention center. Ms. Xu Lihua from Chaoyang Village was arrested at the same time.
