(Minghui.org) I believe the current ordeals the practitioner community is facing, reflect our cultivation states. After years of cultivation, we may have forgotten our role in society and become lax in fulfilling our responsibilities, which eventually led to the ordeals.

Because what has happened has happened, instead of feeling helpless, we should adopt a proactive attitude, see it as an opportunity to make breakthroughs in our cultivation, and let go of any human notions that we have been holding onto over the years.

I noticed that while facing the current ordeals, some practitioners tried to identify the “external” factors that led to the events. It’s not like a scientific event with a predictable result based on a specific formula. We shouldn’t try to draw any conclusions by investigating the incident like a detective, as that would very likely lead us to make the wrong conclusion. Such an incorrect conclusion can easily confuse us or weaken our faith in the Fa.

Master Li has repeatedly told us that looking within is a magic tool for a cultivator. We need to put it into practice in our day-to-day cultivation. When the ordeals occur, if we look within, we will realize that it’s because we failed to keep up with our cultivation or to rid ourselves of human thoughts.

Some practitioners like to hear what Master said in private lectures. I wonder whether they do that out of pure respect or reverence for Master and the Fa or whether they are seeking something because they are motivated by certain attachments.

In fact, when Master explains something clearly, we lose the precious opportunity to cultivate ourselves on that matter. There is no shortcut in cultivation. If a test becomes easy to pass (because Master gave us the answer), then there will be other tests of even greater difficulty. If we have more challenging tests, we are unknowingly making our cultivation more difficult than it should be.

On the other hand, as Dafa disciples, we also have the power cultivated from the Fa to turn bad things into good things. We shouldn’t let current affairs affect us. Let’s all pick ourselves up, catch up in cultivation, and turn the tide.
