(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Qu County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Ying and Ms. Hu Yurong Imprisoned
2. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Guojun Sentenced to One Year in Prison
3. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yueying Arrested
5. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Ms. Yu Guichun Submitted to the Court
1. [Qu County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Ying and Ms. Hu Yurong Imprisoned
Ms. Zhang Ying from Xixi Community of Linba Town was sentenced to five years in prison in January 2021 for posting stickers and banners which had information about Falun Gong. She is now incarcerated in Chengdu Women’s Prison.
Ms. Hu Yurong, a teacher in Baocheng Town, was sentenced to seven years in prison. She is now incarcerated in Chengdu Women’s Prison.
2. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Guojun Sentenced to One Year in Prison
Ms. Deng Guojun was arrested by officers including Tang Bin from the Gaoping District Police Department on January 23, 2024. Her family recently received the verdict from the Gaoping District Court and learned that she was sentenced to one year in prison.
3. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Yan Wencheng was arrested in February 2023. He was sentenced to three years in prison around July 20, 2023 and taken to the No. 11 Ward of the Shandong Province Prison in September 2023.
Ms. Zhang Qingwen was sentenced to four years in prison. She is incarcerated in the Shandong Province Prison. She is emaciated and was found to have diabetes.
Mr. Zhang Xizheng was sentenced to four years in prison.
4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yueying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yueying was reported to police for telling her coworkers about Falun Gong and was arrested at home by five officers from the Huangtianba Police Station in the Qingyang District on the evening of January 31, 2024. Ms. Zhang was placed under 5-day detention.
5. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Twelve officers in Yi County went to Mr. Qin Shuhai’s home on the afternoon of January 18, 2024. They arrested Mr. Qin and two other practitioners Mr. Li Guibin and Ms. Chu Hongfen, who were visiting him. The police ransacked the home and confiscated his Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gongs founder, and some truth clarifying materials. Ms. Liu Yulan and Mr. Shi Baoshan were also arrested.
6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Ms. Yu Guichun Submitted to the Court
Ms. Yu Guichun from Hunnan District was arrested by officers from the Huangcheng Police Station in the Shenhe District on September 19, 2023. The case against her has been submitted to the Dadong District Court.
