(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ma Zhilin and Ms. Cao Xiangmei Sentenced Secretly
2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Chen Deguang Faces Trial
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Xiumei and Two Others Detained
4. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Qingqin Detained
5. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Aihua and Ms. Deng Cai’e Incarcerated
6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Tan Dongmei Detained
7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Hongmei and Ms. Gao Qiying Arrested
8. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Xinlan Harassed
1. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ma Zhilin and Ms. Cao Xiangmei Sentenced Secretly
Mr. Ma. Zhilin and his wife Ms. Cao Xiangmei work for the Jianghu State Farm. They are incarcerated in the Hubei Men’s Prison and Women’s Prison respectively. Mr. Ma was secretly sentenced to five or six years. Ms. Cao may get a similar sentence.
2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Chen Deguang Faces Trial
Mr. Chen Deguang is being held in the Haishiwan Detention Center. His trial is scheduled for April 7, 2024.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Xiumei and Two Others Detained
Three Liaozhong District practitioners, Ms. Tian Xiumei, Ms. Wang Huan, and Ms. Wang Lina, were arrested and taken to the Xijie Police Station on the afternoon of March 29, 2024, after someone reported that they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Liaozhong District Police Department the next day. They are being subjected to criminal detention and are being held in the Shenyang City First Detention Center.
4. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Qingqin Detained
Ms. Sun Qingqin, 63, lives in the Sanhejiayuan community. She was arrested by officers from the Nanta Police Department on July 21, 2023. She was taken to the Chaoyang City Detention Center.
5. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Aihua and Ms. Deng Cai’e Incarcerated
Ms. Li Aihua, in her 60s, was arrested and detained by officers from the Duodao Police Station in May 2023. She was sentenced to one year in prison, and is incarcerated in the Baofenglu Women’s Prison in Hankou City.
Ms. Deng Cai’e is in her 60s. Agents from the Shantao City 610 Office fabricated charges against her and sent her to the Baofenglu Women’s Prison in Hankou City.
6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Tan Dongmei Detained
Ms. Tan Dongmei was arrested by officers from the Baota Police Station on April 2, 2024, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was given ten days of detention.
7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Hongmei and Ms. Gao Qiying Arrested
Two Gaoli Town practitioners, Ms. Li Hongmei of Xiweiyuan Village and Ms. Gao Qiying of Hougou Village, talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at a street market on March 11, 2024. A plainclothes officer had officers from the Gaoli Town Police Station come and arrest them.
Officers brought Ms. Li’s husband Mr. Li Deyu and their son Ms. Li Shufeng to the police station, and forced the family to sign and fingerprint a paper which said they would no longer distribute Falun Gong flyers or talk to people about Falun Gong in any market. The family was released that day.
Ms. Gao’s home was ransacked by police, who seized her Falun Gong books, a wall decor with Chinese character Fu (blessing), a desk calendar, 40 yuan with Falun Gong messages printed on the bills, and other belongings.
8. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Xinlan Harassed
Ms. Liu Xinlan, 99, was harassed at home by officer Lin Li from the Meixian District Domestic Security Division and three officers from the Fuda Police Station on March 31, 2024. They seized a handwriting exercise book and a copy of Zhuan Falun.
