(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Feng Guogang Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
Mr. Feng Guogang from Houyao Town has been arrested and detained. He was recently sentenced to four years in prison by the Changtu County Court.
2. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xia Fei Sentenced to One Year and Six Months in Prison
Ms. Xia Fei teaches at the College of Environmental Biology in Hengyang City. She was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and fined 2,000 yuan by the Guangzhou Railway Transport Court on January 30, 2024.
3. [Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Ms. Xiao Qiuwen was sentenced to 10 months in prison and Ms. Xiao Fangmei was sentenced to 11 months in prison. The two practitioners were taken to the Jiangxi Province Women’s Prison on February 23, 2024. Ms. Lai Fangping is detained in the same prison.
4. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Lichun Faces Trial
Ms. Xu Lichun from Tai’an County will be tried in the Lishan Court at 9 a.m. on April 23, 2024.
5. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Arrested
Ms. Chen was recently arrested for distributing truth clarifying materials.
6. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Na Arrested
Ms. Liu Na from Sanshengkou Township in Yongqing County was arrested by officers from the Sanshengkou Township Police Station when she distributed information about Falun Gong at a local market on April 7, 2024. She was taken to the police station but was released that afternoon.
7. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Ruizhong Missing
Ms. Chen Ruizhong, 68, from Anhua County, was missing on April 14, 2024.
8. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Quan Jiqiang Arrested and Detained
Mr. Quan Jiqiang, 45, from Yuanling County was reported to the police for talking about Falun Gong to a customer he delivered food to. He was arrested on September 7, 2023. His home was ransacked three times. The police confiscated three computers, 11 printers, over 700 books, and truth clarifying materials. Mr. Quan has been held in the Yuanling County Detention Center for more than seven months.
9. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Cheng Zengying Arrested
Ms. Cheng Zengying, around 70, was arrested at home by five officers from the Guangrunmen Police Station in the Xihu District on the morning of April 11, 2024. She was taken to the police station for interrogation and released around 5 p.m.
10. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Cuifang Harassed
Ms. Li Cuifang, over 70, was harassed at home by Jinlingxincun Community staff members and officers from the Jinling Police Station on the afternoon of April 11, 2024. They ransacked her home and confiscated two printers, three computers, her Falun Gong books, and currency bills with information about Falun Gong printed on them.
11. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Wu Yun Arrested and Detained
Mr. Wu Yun was arrested at home on the morning of March 14, 2024. He was held for 10 days in the Dunhuang City Detention Center and was released on March 24, 2024.
12. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Chai Xiufang Arrested
Several practitioners including Ms. Chai Xiufang were arrested by officers from the Dongfeng Road Police Station when they gathered in Ms. Chai’s home to read Zhuan Falun on the afternoon of April 11, 2024.
13. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Wanning Arrested and Detained
Mr. Li Wanning from Dongli Village in Dafengying Township was arrested and detained for 15 days. He has returned home.
14. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shi Xuefeng Arrested
Ms. Shi Xuefeng, 81, from the Oriental Pearl Community in the Dongzhou District was arrested and detained. She was bailed out for medical treatment by her family on April 8, 2024. She is now under residential surveillance.
15. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yulian Arrested
Elderly Ms. Liu Yulian and three other practitioners were at Ms. Liu’s home when three officers from the Bacha Road Police Station broke in at 9 p.m. on April 1, 2024. They ransacked the home and confiscated an entire set of Falun Gong books and 1,640 yuan in cash. Two days later, Ms. Liu was taken to the Tangyuan Town Police Station. After she fainted, the police called her family to come take her home.
