To mark the 25th anniversary of Falun Gong practitioners’ efforts to end the Chinese regime’s persecution of their faith, practitioners held a rally in front of the Chinese Embassy in Madrid.
The rally, which called attention to the atrocities in China, drew support from passersby who expressed their hope to see the persecution ended.
Peter Osuský, former MP, said at a vigil commemorating practitioners who died in the persecution: “This is the anniversary of an outbreak of such pure evil that it should and must be remembered.”
People learned about Falun Gong through exercise demonstrations and a signature drive condemning the CCP’s persecution. Some bought the book Zhuan Falun, Falun Gong’s main text.
Many locals expressed their concern about the human rights situation in China and signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s persecution.
