Clarifying the Truth to People I Meet on the Streets

(Minghui.org) I often clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution to people I meet on the street, and their responses were surprisingly heartwarming. I realize the people whom I seem to randomly meet have a predestined relationship with Falun Dafa. I’d like to share a few touching stories.

An Elderly Man

One day, my son and I were approached by an elderly man in front of a bank. He asked my son to help him withdraw money from an ATM because he didn’t know how to operate the machine. We agreed to help, and he handed my son his bank card and a piece of paper with his password. After my son gave him his cash and card, he handed my son a 100-yuan bill and quickly left.

We shouted to him that he didn’t have to pay us, and we tried to catch up with him. He didn’t want us to give him the money, and kept running, saying, “I want to give the boy a reward, it was difficult to find someone to help me.” Afraid that he’d fall and hurt himself while running, I agreed that I wouldn’t give him the money back. I asked him for his phone number and told him that I would like to visit him and his wife someday, and he agreed.

I visited him later and brought some gifts. He and his wife were happy to see me, and they prepared food. We talked for two hours like old friends, and I told them the facts behind the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa. The couple agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Before I left, I handed him a bill with “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” written on it, and told him that remembering the phrase would keep him safe. He smiled and carefully held the bill in his hands and told me that he’d put it in his wallet.

Helping a Man in a Store

I was shopping with my sister when a man asked the owner if he could give him electronic money in exchange for the same amount of cash. The owner refused, so I offered to help. The three of us stepped outside, and he told us that he needed the cash to see a psychiatrist in town. I told him that if a man improves his morals, his physical health would improve as well.

I then told him that the CCP slandered and persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners, who strive to be good people. If it weren’t for the persecution, many Chinese people would embrace the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and enjoy good mental and physical health.

After he learned the facts of Falun Dafa and the persecution, I told him to remember and say, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is good.” He told me that he didn’t know Mandarin well, and it would be easier for him to remember the phrase if I pronounced it in Mongolian.

To help him, I wrote down the pronunciation of the phrase in Mongolian syllables. He carefully folded the piece of paper, put it in his pocket, and gladly quit the CCP. Before he left, he thanked us for our kindness.

On a Bus

I was riding a bus when a woman got on and could not find one yuan to pay for the bus fare. She tried to pay with her cellphone App, but it failed. I handed the woman one yuan. She thanked me with an embarrassed smile. After she sat down, she searched her purse looking for coins. I told her not to worry and that it wasn’t a big deal. She told me it was rare to come across a good person these days.

I leaned over and whispered to her, “Please remember: Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is good.” Her eyes brightened up. She looked at me and said with excitement, “I will.”

It looked like she knew about Falun Dafa and the ongoing persecution. She told me her name and address, and said I could visit her if I needed anything.

A random act of kindness is a good way to validate Falun Dafa.

On the Street

Nearly ten years ago, I went to a restaurant to purchase food for some guests who came to visit. While I waited for a taxi, two women with a child approached me. They told me that they came from Southern China and needed money to go home.

Without hesitation, I offered them the warm food and gave them 70 yuan. I then handed one of them a bill with the words on it, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is good.” I told them to remember the words, and they would be blessed. The woman who took the bill had an excited look on her face and said to the other woman, “It’s Falun Dafa.” She nodded at me and thanked me.
