1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Gao Bizhen Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Gao Bizhen, 78, was arrested by the Luojiashan Police Station on October 9, 2024. She is now detained and being tortured in a brainwashing center.
2. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Hong’e and Ms. Zhang Shujie’s Original Verdicts Upheld
Ms. Zhao Hong’e and Ms. Zhang Shujie were arrested by officers from the Xicheng Police Station on May 22, 2024, for clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. Both practitioners were sentenced to two years and six months in prison on November 28. They appealed with the Dandong City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold their original verdicts.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Persecution of Practitioners in Liaoning Province Women’s Prison
Persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Liaoning Province Women’s Prison has continued throughout the past 25 years. All of the practitioners held in the prison are ordered to renounce their faith. Instigated by prison guards, the inmates beat practitioners in exchange for reduction of their prison terms. In the winter, practitioners are not allowed to wear jackets, and are forced to stand in front of open windows for an extended period of time. They are also deprived of sleep.
Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Wu Jiufen, nearly 70 years old, were beaten by more than ten inmates in their cells. They ended up covered in injuries and unable to walk. They had been hit so hard in the face that their eyes bulged out, and their faces were disfigured.
Ms. Wang Qingyun has been tortured daily for three full years. Her body was swollen and bruised. She was not allowed to wear padded clothes, padded pants, or padded shoes in the winter. She had to put on only a single layer of clothes, pants, and shoes. She was beaten every day, deprived of sleep, and had to stand against the wall all night. She is now being held in solitary confinement and is enduring escalated torture.
4. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Lihua Monitored Around the Clock
Ms. Sun Lihua from Changping District was monitored around the clock by two unidentified men from late February to mid-March 2025, before and during the Chinese Communist Party’s National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in Beijing.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Juxiang Arrested
Ms. Zhang Juxiang talked to an elementary school student about Falun Gong on March 12, 2025 and was reported to the police by the student’s parent. She was arrested by the Ershilibao Police Station. Agents of Dalian City Commission for Discipline Inspection and officers from Ershilibao Police Station ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. Shew was released around 10 p.m. that night.
