Cooperating as One Body to Rescue Fellow Practitioners

(Minghui.org) Around 7:00 p.m. one evening a few years ago, five Falun Dafa practitioners from our area were distributing truth-clarification materials in a remote location when the police arrested them. They had several bags of Dafa materials on them at the time.

Upon arriving at the police station, the practitioners took their bags and got out of the van. Surprised by the quantity of materials, a police officer said, “Who made these? Be prepared to spend several years in prison just for this stuff.”

A practitioner replied, “These are not evidence for your persecution. They are a powerful tool for saving people. Falun Dafa’s materials are legal.” The practitioner thought, “You don’t have any say in the matter.”

The officer threatened them, saying, “No one is leaving here tonight. This is a major case, and you’ll have to listen to us if you want to go home.”

He pulled out a sample of each type of material from the bags, and asked, “What’s this for?” The practitioners told him that it was for saving lives. The officer then asked, “Who organized this event? Who sent you?”

A practitioner replied, “We are doing what we’re supposed to do to help people survive the calamity.” No matter what the police said, the practitioners refused to cooperate and followed Master’s teachings:

Master said:

“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts Are Powerful,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress II).

They simply clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to the officer, disintegrating the evil behind him.

A practitioner told him, “Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa. It is the great Buddha Fa of the universe. Falun Dafa is legal in China. Falun Dafa is a belief, and freedom of belief is not against the law. Of the 14 cults recognized by the Ministry of Public Security, Falun Dafa is not one of them.

“Did you know, the General Administration of Press and Publication issued Order No. 50, which eliminated the ban on the publication of Falun Dafa books on March 1, 2011. Additionally, Falun Dafa has miraculous effects in curing diseases and improving health. We have all benefited from this.

“By cultivating ourselves to be good and following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, we contribute positively to society and harm no one. For more than 20 years, Falun Dafa has spread to over 100 countries worldwide, where it has been warmly welcomed and embraced by people, receiving more than 5,000 awards from various levels of government. Falun Dafa books teach people to be good. The books and materials owned by Dafa practitioners fall under the protection of freedom of speech, as the Constitution guarantees citizens’ freedom of belief and freedom of speech.”

In this way, the practitioners clarified the truth to the officer for over an hour. The officer listened attentively and before leaving, said, “That’s all for today. It’s getting late, you should go to bed.”

The room was airtight, without a window. The practitioners weren’t allowed to wear watches and weren’t able to know the time. In the dead of night, they all looked inward: why were we detained for saving people? Which attachment led to this? If our words and actions align with the Fa, the evil would not dare to touch us. It was only when facing such tribulations that they truly realized the seriousness of cultivation.

The next day, officers from the Domestic Security Division took the three male practitioners to the hospital for various tests in preparation for the next step in the persecution. The three practitioners refused to cooperate, and the doctors were unable to perform any tests on them other than a forced blood test, ultimately having to give up.

In the afternoon, the practitioners learned that agents from the provincial 610 Office were on their way to the police station. However, this did not deter the practitioners. They sent righteous thoughts and asked Master for help to resolve the situation.

As soon as other practitioners learned that the five practitioners had been taken to the police station the previous night, the coordinator immediately took a taxi with a few other practitioners to the homes of the five practitioners and moved their printing equipment and Dafa books, which greatly relieved pressure on the family members.

One family member said, “I was just worried about where to put this stuff, and then you all came. Thank you so much, your arrival is perfect timing.”

When all the moving was done, the police arrived to ransack the homes. Significant losses were avoided, and the police’s crimes against Dafa and Dafa practitioners were minimized.

Starting around 8 a.m., practitioners outside the police station began working together to rescue the arrested practitioners.

Master said,

“The next person’s things are your things, and your things are his things.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2002 Conference in Washington, D.C.,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume II).

Some practitioners began compiling lists of those involved in the persecution, while others went to the police station courtyard to send righteous thoughts. Some sent righteous thoughts from their cars nearby, and some did so from home.

We were all firm in our belief that those practitioners must be unconditionally released. At the same time, we all looked inward and immediately corrected ourselves if anything was not in alignment with the Fa.

A practitioner sent the list of those involved in the persecution, along with their phone numbers, to the Minghui website at 12:00 p.m. That afternoon, we learned that the phones of the police officers involved were ringing constantly, which greatly deterred the evil. This was the result of unconditional cooperation as one body.

In the meantime, the head of the Domestic Security Division was standing on the second floor of the police station, taking pictures of practitioners from all angles, and then filming them with a video camera, looking quite busy.

A practitioner said to him, with their heart, “You can’t intimidate us. We’re not leaving yet. We’re here to disintegrate evil. We are not afraid. We will now disintegrate all the negative thoughts you have about Dafa, so you won’t commit crimes against Dafa and practitioners.

“We will help you develop good thoughts toward Dafa and practitioners, so you will have a bright future. Your life is for the Fa, and you are here to be saved, not to be used by evil to do harm and face destruction. Remember, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and you will be saved.”

By law, the police must release detainees within 24 hours, unless extended detention is justified. It was already 3 p.m., and the practitioners were still being held. When a practitioner asked a police officer what was happening, they were told that provincial authorities had sent someone to review the case.

The practitioners understood that the old forces were trying to intensify the persecution. Some of them felt their hearts move.

The coordinator said, “We believe in Master and the Fa. Let’s ask Master to resolve this, bringing the case to a close and ensuring their unconditional release. Dafa practitioners only follow the path arranged by Master, not by anyone else. The old forces cannot cause harm, and we ask that their plan be immediately dissolved!”

Understanding that every word and action of a Dafa practitioner is observed by the divine throughout the entire cosmos, practitioners immediately corrected themselves. The atmosphere around us became peaceful and clear, and we continued to send righteous thoughts.

When I got home in the evening, I recalled that the sister of the head of the Domestic Security Division was my colleague. We had a good relationship, and she had already quit the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations. So, I decided to call her.

After exchanging pleasantries, I got straight to the point and said, “Our fellow practitioners went out to distribute Dafa [informational] materials yesterday, but they were detained by the police, and I heard the provincial 610 Office sent agents here.

“I’d like to have your brother’s phone number so I can explain to him that practicing Falun Dafa is not against the law, and persuade him to release the practitioners tomorrow. This would be beneficial for him and others. Protecting Dafa practitioners will bring blessings to your entire family.”

The sister responded, “I don’t have his number, but don’t worry, I’ll tell him to do good deeds.”

On the third morning, we arrived at the police station compound and focused our efforts on sending righteous thoughts. A police officer shooed us away from the center of the courtyard. We moved to the side steps, and just as we were about to sit down, I suddenly felt dizzy and had to lie down on the steps.

I realized that this was a distraction orchestrated by the old forces to prevent practitioners from sending righteous thoughts. I asked the other practitioners to help me up and continue. They asked if I was okay, and I replied firmly, “Yes!” I would not allow anyone to prevent Dafa practitioners from sending righteous thoughts to rescue our fellow practitioners. I was soon fine.

At 6 p.m., the five arrested practitioners were released one after another with righteous thoughts. The police had tried to force them to sign guarantee statements to stop practicing, but all of them refused.

They told the police, “You need to learn to protect yourselves by not committing crimes against Dafa and practitioners. Remember, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ By doing this, you will be saved and have a bright future.”

Epilogue

This article is meant to remind everyone to stay vigilant. When facing evil persecution, we should remember that we are Dafa practitioners and make every effort to communicate with one another more frequently. We must do what is necessary, actively participate in the rescue of other practitioners, and work together as one body to disintegrate evil, so our fellow practitioners can be spared from persecution as quickly as possible.

My fellow practitioners have been arrested many times when clarifying the facts face-to-face. Upon hearing about it, other practitioners immediately set aside their own affairs and went to the police station to send righteous thoughts until the practitioners were released.

Gods and Buddhas look at our hearts. As a result, each time such persecution occurred, with Master’s protection and practitioners’ active cooperation, fellow practitioners were able to disintegrate the evil and return home safely that same day.
