“A Very High Level”

Yeh Jien-Wei (The Epoch Times)

Distinguished scientist and professor Yeh Jien-Wei saw Shen Yun in Taoyuan on April 27.

“Shen Yun has reached a very high level. Such performances are truly of great significance,” he said.

“This is a spirit that comes from deep within. It is a manifestation of the soul, truthfulness, kindness, and beauty. That’s why it has such great power. I think this is very important, as it can influence people’s hearts, especially now that the society lacks this the most,” he said.

“I’m Very Touched”

Hsueh Shui-fu (The Epoch Times)

Hsueh Shui-fu, the CEO of a biomedical company, saw Shen Yun in Taoyuan on April 24.

“I’m very touched,” he said. “True culture is the energy that redeems us humans. That invisible energy [of Shen Yun] is equivalent to vitality, which seems to give people rebirth,” Mr. Hsueh said.

“Different Styles of China”

Phil Lober (NTD Television)

Award-winning film composer Phil Lober saw Shen Yun in Taoyuan on April 25.

“I enjoyed it. It was great,” he said.

“I also think what is really cool about it is you get to see different styles of China. Because we only get to see one China on the news. We don’t get to see this huge country that China is. There’s a lot of Chinas, so we want to see all of the Chinas. And I think Shen Yun is showing us all the Chinas,” he said.

“Influences the Whole World”

Lee Meng-chu (NTD Television)

Lee Meng-chu, general manager of a smart marketing company, saw Shen Yun in Taoyuan on April 24.

“Without the evil factors of the Red Dynasty, this is the true traditional Chinese culture,” said the Taiwanese businessman who had been illegally detained by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for nearly four years.

“Shen Yun uses dance and dance dramas to interpret classic stories, making these plots more attractive and dazzling to our eyes. It also influences the whole world and allows everyone to experience the beauty of Chinese culture,” Mr. Lee said.

“Return to Truthfulness, Kindness, and Beauty”

Hao Chen-pien (NTD Television)

Hao Chen-pien, artistic director of a photography workshop, saw Shen Yun in Kaohsiung on April 15.

“What is touching about Shen Yun is that they are promoting and inheriting the entire Chinese culture, and in doing so, they are telling people that we should have a connection with the divine. Many parts of the performance let us know that it is not about us asking the divine for something, or asking the divine to do something for us, but that we should turn back to the divine first, and return to truthfulness, kindness, and beauty,” he said.

“Whether we can turn back onto the path toward the divine on our own... Not to stray from the divine path – this is the most important,” he said.

“I Felt Like I Got a New Soul”

Lin Ting-he (NTD Television)

Art gallery artistic consultant Lin Ting-he saw Shen Yun in Kaohsiung on April 16. This was his third year watching Shen Yun in a row.

“Shen Yun performances use the display of humanity to embody the divine radiance hidden within,” he said. “What Shen Yun is the most amazing at is the part that reveals divinity. I think divinity is a kind of backbone force that allows us to settle down and live. After watching the performance, I felt like I got a new soul.

“Combining art with faith will bring out the beauty, goodness, and truthfulness deep in people’s hearts to the fullest. When our hearts resonate in such a field, we will feel that we can pursue the power of this kind of truthfulness, goodness, and beauty, instead of (passively) facing the hardships, bullies, or various challenges in life,” he said.

“Full of Powerful, Positive Energy”

Chen Chiu-ling (The Epoch Times)

Chen Chiu-ling, CEO of a charitable organization, saw Shen Yun in Changhua on April 20.

“This is a group of outstanding caliber,” she said. “In addition to courage and belief, they demonstrate a tremendous pursuit of inner strength and unwavering determination. I believe Shen Yun is not just a professional artistic performance. What really moves me is that Chinese culture needs to be passed down in this way. Taiwan alone can’t carry it; it should be a legacy for the entire world.”

Ms. Chen believes that Shen Yun’s revival of Chinese culture is vital in today’s world.

“It’s really important because life isn’t just about the economy. Culture is something much deeper. For example, the reason we invited our colleagues to the show is that I feel we all need to improve ourselves,” she said.

“It’s absolutely beautiful... The lighting and all the other elements were just perfect. I feel that colors really bring out the vitality of the performance.

“The colors are full of energy. If we believe in the energy of the five elements, then the way they use so much orange, paired with the lighting, creates a truly stunning effect. It’s not just beautiful, but also full of powerful, positive energy,” she said.

Ms. Chen also identified with the universal values and traditional morals conveyed in Shen Yun’s performance.

“I believe Falun Gong has always been about pursuing Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance,” she said. “If all of humanity were to follow that path, it would truly be a beautiful world.”

Ms. Chen also shared that, although she doesn’t follow a specific religion, she deeply connects with the divine culture portrayed in Shen Yun.

“I believe science alone isn’t enough for humanity. We must live in harmony with nature. Only then can we truly understand the vastness of the universe, and in doing so, we must humbly strive to better ourselves. I truly admire their dedication to persevering for so long and staying committed. It’s truly impressive,” she said.

“Energy Extends and Bursts out From the Performers”

Chen Chih-liang (The Epoch Times)

Chen Chih-liang, photographer and director of commercials, saw Shen Yun in Taoyuan on April 25.

“It was like God gave me a dream back... There were a few scenes that made me cry,” he said.

“They bring the energy in their cells into our minds through music, sound and light ... [The backdrop] expands the visual outward from the middle, and the energy extends and bursts out from the performers... Every movement of the performers bursts out together with the rhythm of the music, and you can feel the energy as it bursts out again and again with the rhythm of the music... It’s a bit like a volcano erupting again and again. It is energy that has been accumulated for a very long time,” he said.
