(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held events in Bucharest from May 10 to May 13, 2025, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. Since May 13, 2000, Falun Dafa Day has been celebrated annually by practitioners around the world to mark the occasion of their spiritual practice being introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi. May 13 also happens to be Mr. Li’s birthday.

Practitioners held informational events on May 10 in Roman Square and on May 12 on Calea Victoriei, at the statue of King Carol I. During the three days of celebration, they also demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises at the practice site in King Michael I Park, read the Falun Dafa teachings together, and shared the insights they’ve had in their cultivation.

Practitioners talked to interested people and gave them information about Falun Dafa. Many passersby were drawn to the practitioners’ event by what they said was the peaceful and positive atmosphere. They also said they appreciated the fact that Falun Dafa teaches people to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Teacher: “The Fact That It Addresses Morality Won Me Over”

Doina Cezar, a retired biology teacher, enthusiastically described her impressions of the Dafa Day celebrartion.

“I found it very beautiful, very interesting, and the fact that it addresses morality won me over from the first moment,” said Doina Cezar, a retired teacher.

“In our society where morality is on the decline, I think it’s a fantastic thing to think about how to improve this aspect of social life. Very nice. I was impressed. The lady also impressed me with her kindness,” she said, referring to the practitioner she spoke with.

Doina emphasized the importance of Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance for humanity and the positive effect that meeting the practitioners had on her.

“With these values in everyday life, society would become better, and people would understand each other better. Tolerance would be a great thing. I love this! It would be great to impart these principles to the masses. Meeting you really put me in such a good mood.”

Young People Support Falun Dafa

Erica and her friends praise Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.

Eighth-grader Erica and her friends stopped to get information at the Falun Dafa booth.

“I think it’s the right thing to do [introduce Falun Dafa],” she said. “It can help children through Compassion and Tolerance. And of course through Truth, but there’s not much of that anymore. If children at school were more concerned about these things—Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance—it would be a much better environment,” she said.

On World Falun Dafa Day, Erica urges practitioners not to stop believing in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, and to always strive for their goals. However, she said that to what extent people will return to these traditional and universal values is, “up to each individual and how much he or she understands. Some people, you know, don’t have the understanding, but I feel you will succeed.”

Andreea and her friend show support for the principles of Falun Dafa during the event in Bucharest, on May 12.

Andreea read about Falun Dafa’s principles and said, “Oh, very nice! Compassion and Tolerance, that’s how the world should work, with these principles.” Her friend said, “Truth, kindness, tolerance, that is the normal way to live.”

Luis said, “It’s great that something like this exists and I’m glad you’re doing this.”

Luis, 20, watched practitioners demonstrate the exercises and read the principles emblazoned on the banners. He asked practitioners what exactly Falun Dafa is. A practitioner told him that it improves one’s moral character. Luis said, “Ah, it means that we have to get to our true selves, to find out who we really are. It’s wonderful that something like this exists, and I’m glad you’re doing this.” He asked where the nearest practice site was and said he would like to find out more about Falun Dafa.

Falun Dafa Will Change the Fate of Romania

Rachieru Panainte believes that adherence to the values taught by Falun Dafa can benefit everyone.

Cerasela Ieremia said Falun Dafa can improve her life.

Rachieru Panainte, 75, from Galati, and his daughter Cerasela Ieremia chatted with practitioners.

After watching the exercise demonstration, Rachieru said, “I saw something new. I’ve never seen anything like this. I was curious to see what was going on.” He also agreed with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. “It would be beneficial, if only they want to,” he said. “If you want to, you can. One can change for the better, as well as society and the individual.”

Cerasela said she was interested in what Falun Dafa has to offer.

“I’m already making changes, searching for myself as a human, and that’s probably why I stopped by here. My children have grown up and I said, ‘Now it’s my turn.’ On World Falun Dafa Day, May 13, I hope many people practice Falun Dafa, and that way the world will become better.”

Teodora, an economist, came to the Falun Dafa booth because she said she was attracted by spiritual practices that improve a person physically, mentally and spiritually. She told practitioners, “Keep it up, don’t give up.”

Laura from Bucharest believes that, “The principles of Falun Dafa are universal and very valid, especially now we need these principles: Truth, Compassion and Tolerance. They are not something new, but they really help us to raise our energy level a lot and we all know that they are very important for our health. The more the collective consciousness is raised, the better things will be, so it would be very good if many of us practiced. I feel it would change the fate of Romania.”
