Filling My Body and Mind with the Fa

(Minghui.org) I am 80 years old, and started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. Due to my low literacy level, I have never submitted an article to Minghui.org. Fa-rectification is nearing its end, so I must overcome this difficulty and report my cultivation to compassionate Master, and thank him for his salvation.

In 1996, my husband was dying. While I was reading Dafa books to him, we both started practicing Dafa. During the most brutal years of persecution, we went to Beijing to appeal several times for Master and the right to practice Falun Dafa. We were arrested, detained, and sent to labor camps multiple times. In those years, we were displaced and forced to wander around.

Cultivation is sacred and serious. It is not a skill that ordinary people can easily master, nor can it be bought with money. It is something extraordinary and must be guided by the Fa. Master has told us many times in his lectures to study the Fa well, and often emphasizes the importance of studying it. As Master’s disciples, we must follow his requirements. Master said that Dafa disciples in Changchun City all started to memorize the Fa. Why didn’t I learn from the disciples in Master’s hometown?

From then on, when I studied the Fa, I consciously memorized the Fa. Zhuan Falun is not an ordinary book for ordinary people; it is a divine book. I cannot just memorize the general meaning, I must memorize it meticulously and accurately, word for word. I am old, and it is really difficult for me to do it, but no matter how difficult it is, I must persist. I memorized it little by little. As long as it is my Fa study time, I would memorize the Fa. It took me more than a year to memorize Zhuan Falun the first time, and it took me less and less time as I continued. Now I study Zhuan Falun by reciting it. I can’t remember how many times I have recited it, but I am now fluent at reciting.

A practitioner said that she could recite the Fa fluently and quickly, but she didn’t know what she was reciting. I was not like that. I recited the Fa sentence by sentence. I knew what I was reciting, because my main spirit was reciting. Every morning after sending forth righteous thoughts, I would study the Fa for an hour and a half, then cook a meal and go out to clarify the truth. In the afternoon, I went to group Fa study, and then would recite the Fa.

In addition to reciting Zhuan Falun, I also studied other Fa lectures. I required myself to memorize some of Master’s articles, such as “How Humankind Came To Be”, “Why the Creator Seeks to Save All Life”, and “Why This World Is a Realm of Unknowing”. I memorized these important articles very well. I let my whole body, mind, and cells be filled with the Fa, so that I can have righteous thoughts.

Every morning, I would do the five sets of Dafa exercises. I would do the 2nd exercise for an hour, and after dinner, I would do the 2nd exercise for another half an hour before studying the Fa. Sometimes, I would recite the Fa. In short, I have plenty of time to study the Fa. My children do not live with me; they all know that Dafa is good, and they do not interfere with my cultivation. I don’t waste time on cooking, and will just eat a simple meal as long as it fills my stomach.
