Additional Persecution News from China – May 24, 2025 (5 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gong Changlan Made to Serve a Three-year Prison Sentence Given in 2013
2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Wang Yunxiao and Mr. Ran Xinglong Face Indictment
3. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Cui Yili Detained, Daughter Also Arrested

5. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liang Meihua Arrested

1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gong Changlan Made to Serve a Three-year Prison Sentence Given in 2013

Ms. Gong Changlan, 73, was arrested on April 2, 2025, is having to serve a three-year prison sentence passed down in 2013. She went into hiding after the sentence was passed in 2013. In June 2022, she was arrested again. She failed the required physical exam and was released under a six-month house arrest. The court did not take further action at the end of the house arrest but recently issued an order to “pursue the case.”

Ms. Gong’s family visited her in Huludao City Detention Center on May 23, 2025. She was scheduled to be transferred to the Liaoning Women’s Prison on May 28, 2025.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Wang Yunxiao and Mr. Ran Xinglong Face Indictment

Wang Yunxiao, gender unknown, of Wuhan City, Hubei Province, and Mr. Ran Xinglong of Kai County, Chongqing, were arrested on April 23, 2025, by officers from She County, Anhui Province. Their cases were submitted to Xiuning County Procuratorate in Huangshan City, Anhui Province.

3. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Cui Yili Detained, Daughter Also Arrested

Ms. Cui Yili of the Xincheng District was arrested at work on the morning of May 21, 2025. Her Falun Gong books, printers, and other items were confiscated. She is being held in the Songshan District Detention Center.

Ms. Cui’s daughter, Ms. Duan Mingyang, was also arrested with her. She has been released.

4. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Face Indictment

Chen Ying, Gu Lili, Pang Shuyue, Chunxiang (last name unknown), Zha Shuyan, and Feng Yurong were arrested on the afternoon of April 17, 2025. Their cases have been submitted to the Haigang District Procuratorate. They were released on bail in late May 2025.

5. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liang Meihua Arrested

Ms. Liang Meihua was arrested at home on the morning of April 21, 2025, by two plainclothes officers from the Xihu District Domestic Security Division, a neighborhood police officer, and a community clerk. She was taken to the Domestic Security Division for deposition. She was released around 1 p.m.
