Practitioners gathered on the National Mall on the evening of July 17, 2025 for a candlelight vigil to mourn Falun Dafa practitioners who lost their lives in the persecution in China.

“We again call on the CCP to end its campaign to eradicate Falun Gong,” a U.S. State Department spokesperson said.

Elected officials and other dignitaries wrote to UK Falun Dafa practitioners to condemn the persecution and commend the practitioners for their unwavering faith and peaceful resistance to the CCP’s brutality.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises, held an art exhibit, performed music, and held a candlelight vigil, to inform people about the persecution.

One MP wrote: "For over two decades, Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted, imprisoned, tortured and in many cases killed, simply for practicing a peaceful faith that the Communist Party cannot control.”
