(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yufen Admitted to Prison
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
3. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie Faces Indictment
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yi Xiulan Arrested; Ms. Hou Guixiang Harassed
5. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Dai Meixia Forced to Live Away from Home
6. [Shanghai] Five Practitioners Placed Under Surveillance
1. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yufen Admitted to Prison
Ms. Sun Yufen, 60, was arrested by Chengbei Police Station in October 2021 and sentenced to seven years in prison in 2022. It was recently learned that she has been admitted to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison in the capital of Jinan.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Wu Huan and her husband, Mr. Wei Qingshu, were arrested at home by Liuying Road Police Station officers on the morning of August 7, 2025. Their Falun Gong books and the photo of the Falun Gong founder were confiscated. They were released on the early morning of August 8, 2025.
Two other practitioners, Yu and Shao, a dentist, were also arrested in the early morning of August 7, 2025. The police raided Shao’s home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and a computer. Yu was released after interrogation. Shao remains detained.
3. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie Faces Indictment
The case of Ms. Fu Wenjie was submitted to the Linghai City Procuratorate on August 8, 2025.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yi Xiulan Arrested; Ms. Hou Guixiang Harassed
Ms. Yi Xiulan was arrested by officers from Erdao District around 6 a.m. on July 18, 2025. The police confiscated several Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
Ms. Hou Guixiang was harassed by officers from the Kuancheng District Police Department at 9 a.m. on August 7, 2025. Two photos of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated.
5. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Dai Meixia Forced to Live Away from Home
The Xiaochi Town Police Station officers went to Ms. Dai Meixia’s home in Xiaochi Town, Huangmei County, on July 22, 2025. Ms. Dai managed to escape. The police followed Ms. Dai’s younger sister to their mother’s home in the afternoon and still didn’t find her. Ms. Dai is now forced to live away from home to avoid persecution.
6. [Shanghai] Five Practitioners Placed Under Surveillance
Ms. You Xiuyun, Ms. Qian Xiujuan, Ms. Cai Yufang, and Ms. Ni Cuiping were put under surveillance recently. They were being followed when they went out.
Ms. Chen Ping also found herself being followed when she went out on the afternoon of August 7, 2025.
