Overcoming Difficulties with Righteous Thoughts and Actions

(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. In the 29 years of assisting Master in the Fa-rectification, I have fought several battles between good and evil. I have deeply appreciated Master’s protection at all times.

Before I started cultivation, I suffered from a variety of diseases, such as premature ventricular contractions, low blood pressure, a kidney deficiency, severe rhinitis, and enlarged tonsils. After a few months of cultivation, all of these diseases disappeared.

Clarifying the Truth and Saving People While Illegally Detained

From March 2002 to May 2005, I was arrested twice by the local police for practicing Dafa and was illegally detained in labor camps for two and a half years.

In 2020, I was arrested again by the local police. I refused to sign any interrogation reports and made zero confessions under any circumstances. I had Master’s teaching in my mind all the time:

“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.”(“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts Are Powerful,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress II).

When I had the opportunity, I clarified the truth to those policemen. When I had time, I sent forth righteous thoughts to dissolve all the evil beings and factors that persecute Dafa practitioners, and asked Master to strengthen his practitioners.

The police took me to a detention center. I sent out a thought: “Master has the final say in everything I do, and no matter where I am, I will do things to assist Master in Fa-rectification.”

While in the detention center, the guards asked me to sign some papers, but I refused. The guard in charge of the cell tried to persuade me to write a statement promising to renounce Falun Gong, saying that I could be released if I wrote such a statement. I told her in a clear way: “Master has saved my life several times. Without Dafa saving me, I wouldn’t be where I am now. I will never give up Dafa at any time.” I also told her a lot about Dafa. After she understood the truth, she treated Dafa practitioners kindly.

I conducted myself based on the standards of Master’s teachings, treating the people in my cell as my own family. I would do my best to help anyone who was in difficulty. They all agreed with Falun Dafa very much. Most of them quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Two young people in the cell had chickenpox, so I told them to take as much time as possible to silently recite in their hearts the two phrases, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” They recovered in two days, and everybody in the cell witnessed the amazing power of Dafa. It was truly:

“The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and harmonizes everything.” (Lecture Three, Zhuan Falun)

I memorized Zhuan Falun, Hong Yin, and other scriptures by Master every day in the cell. When I had time, I recited the Fa with fellow practitioners. When I first arrived at the cell, I had experienced a false appearance of high blood pressure and cerebral thrombosis. The doctor at the health center had asked me to take medicine, but I had refused, saying that I would adjust myself. After doing the exercises, my body returned to normal. With Master’s blessings, I established an environment in my cell, where I did not watch the evil Party’s brainwashing videos. I sent forth righteous thoughts, did the exercises, and memorized the Fa every day.

A year later, I was illegally sentenced to one year and six months in prison. I decided to appeal so that the judges and people in the detention center could learn more about the truth of Dafa. I carefully wrote appeal letters with truth clarification information. In the end, in the face of the facts, everyone understood the truth of Dafa and the persecution and had more respect for Falun Dafa.

Before a practitioner who was detained in the same cell as me left the detention center, the guard in charge of the cell had approached her several times and asked her to read aloud the statement she had written to renounce Falun Gong, because they wanted to make a video of her reading it to deceive the public. They threatened to send her directly to a brainwashing center if she did not cooperate. When she was detained in a previous cell, she had written this statement against her will due to fear while under duress, but she later realized she had done something wrong.

After submitting a solemn statement to the detention center to announce that the statement was obtained against her will and was invalid, she was transferred to our current cell. In the evening, she told me about it. I said to her, “We are Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period. We can’t passively bear it and we should not listen to evil. We should confront the evil with righteous thoughts. I recited Master’s Fa to her:

“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.”(“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts Are Powerful,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress II).

Everything is up to Master. Before she left, we sent forth righteous thoughts every day to dismantle all the evil beings and factors that persecute Dafa practitioners. We would not allow the guards to commit crimes against Dafa. With Master’s compassionate blessings, we dissolved the persecution of her. She got out of the detention center with righteous thoughts and returned home smoothly.

While I was illegally detained in the detention center, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts every day. I did not allow the guards to disturb me or persecute me in any way, so none of the guards interfered with me. On the morning of my release, the whole cell was happy for me. The young people offered their best wishes with pastries and fruits. Everyone was happy for me. I seized the time to clarify the truth to those who had not yet quit the CCP, so that they could clearly recognize the true nature of the evil Party and withdraw from its organizations as soon as possible.

Overcoming False Illness Karma Symptoms with Righteous Thoughts

In mid-December 2022, COVID-19 broke out in my city, and most of the people were infected.

After midnight on December 16 at about 1 a.m., I suddenly felt sore, my throat was uncomfortable, and my head was very uncomfortable. I recalled that the previous afternoon, when I had gone to a fellow practitioner’s home, she had been lying on the bed, appearing very weak and uncomfortable. It was a false appearance of being contracted with COVID. As practitioners, we should have sent forth righteous thoughts to dissolve this false appearance and tried to understand it from the Fa, but we just talked about it a little bit before I left.

Why did I have this false appearance? I began to look inward. From Master’s Fa, I have profoundly realized that true Dafa cultivators have energy, are able to rectify incorrect states, and are able to kill bacteria and viruses that invade the human body. That’s for sure. I wanted to let my own nature dominate and get rid of all the ideas and thoughts that I had acquired postnatally. I sent forth a powerful thought to eliminate all evil beings and factors that use the pretense of infection to persecute Dafa practitioners and hinder the salvation of sentient beings. After an hour of sending forth righteous thoughts, I felt that my body was not as uncomfortable, so I continued to meditate and memorize the Fa. The next day, I did whatever I needed to do. After reading two lectures in the morning, everything was back to normal. When my family and friends saw my quick recovery, they admired the amazing nature and sacredness of Dafa and witnessed the beauty and well-being that Dafa brings to sentient beings.

On the third day, I went to the practitioner’s house again. I told the practitioner everything that had happened over the past two days. The practitioner and I elevated in the Fa under the compassionate protection of Master, and we were deeply grateful to Master from the bottom of our hearts. We went through Master’s lectures on this issue again, and we came to realize that Master has given his disciples a good opportunity to step out of the human world. For those who cannot always be in the Fa and occasionally have human notions, it depends on whether you can let go of ordinary people’s notions during the pandemic.

I will take the last path of righteousness, seize the time to study the Fa, do the three things well, and complete what Master wants while helping Master to save people. I am grateful for Master’s compassion and salvation!
