(Minghui.org) A 63-year-old woman in Tieling City, Liaoning Province, has been subjected to ongoing abuse while serving a two-year term for her faith in Falun Gong.
Ms. Zhang Shuxia, born in 1963, was arrested on July 12, 2024, and sentenced to two years that December. She was admitted to the Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison at an unknown time.
Ms. Zhang is currently held in team three of the first division. Head inmate Yang Hui (a convicted fraudster) often hurled foul language at her and pinched her, leaving her bruised all over.
Ms. Zhang reported the abuse to captain Xu Biying. Xu only acknowledged receiving the report but never disciplined Yang.
Another fraudster Zhao Shuang soon began to verbally abuse Ms. Zhang and even threatened to have Yang choke her to death if she dared to report the abuse again.
Ms. Zhang started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. After the communist regime launched a nationwide campaign against Falun Gong in July 1999, she held firm to her faith and was repeatedly targeted.
