(Minghui.org) The Sixth India Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held in Bengaluru on August 18, 2026. Sixteen practitioners reflected on how they navigated the ups and downs of life while guided by the teachings of Master Li Hongzhi and the core values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Because the submissions were in different languages, translations in Hindi and English were provided. The practitioners who organized the conference said they were grateful for the opportunity to collaborate. They will practice diligently and strengthen their righteous thoughts.

Educating Children with Kindness

Aruna Petkar from Nagpur began practicing Falun Dafa in 2015. She had long struggled with an excessive attachment to her children, wanting them to obey and follow her wishes, and feeling angry if her family disagreed with her. She used to believe she was always right, and when conflicts happened she couldn’t calm down. She would cry and replay the incident in her mind for days.

Reading Master Li’s words in Zhuan Falun and Chapter Three of Falun Gong helped her see that difficulties were tests of her xinxing, and some hardships might be stronger in order to test her character. That insight changed how she understood those painful moments.

As she looked within, she discovered many attachments such as selfishness, sentimentality, fear, worry, excitement, laziness, competitiveness, showing off, and seeking reputation. Instead of blaming others for every problem, she began to view conflicts as opportunities to improve. When disagreements or arguments occurred, her first response was to examine herself to see which attachment she needed to eliminate.

Maintaining a Positive Attitude While Coordinating a Group Trip to Taiwan

Chitra Devnani lives in Bengaluru. In January, she organized a group trip to Taiwan to watch Shen Yun. Coordinating visas and bookings required constant communication with travelers and a travel agent. The consulate repeatedly asked for additional documents, and messages kept arriving late at night while she was already exhausted.

During the trip, some participants complained about Taiwanese food and requested costly Indian meals, while others wanted to visit sites outside the planned itinerary. She was surprised and disturbed.

However, she was inspired by some practitioners around her, who she said acted as a model for how a Falun Dafa practitioner should respond: to remain calm, maintain positive thoughts, and act with humility.

When she let go of her emotions and focused on being calm, situations began to resolve themselves. The travel agent, who had learned about Shen Yun and chose to join the group, helped settle the food issue, and in the end everyone was happy. On the fourth day, they watched Shen Yun and witnessed a remarkable shift in everyone’s mindset. Many appreciated her efforts to arrange the trip, and some described their experiences as being miraculous.

Letting Go of Ego During a Legal Fight

Madhumita Sarkar, who lived in Kolkata, explained that the previous year she faced a stressful property dispute with an aggressive family member that left her mentally and emotionally drained.

When she reflected on the situation, she realized she had deep attachments to money, property, and the other people’s opinions. She let go and practiced being present and allowing things to happen naturally.

She said that before she met with the opposing party and her lawyer, she asked for Master’s blessing. A profound stillness came over her, and she remained quiet and unmoved while the others shouted. When others lost their tempers, they inadvertently revealed their true intentions. The meeting ended in her favor, and afterward, she simply thanked her lawyer and asked him to stick to the truth.

A few nights later, she had a vivid dream. In the dream, she saw an ancient royal scroll that read: “This is not your permanent home. Why are you wasting your time on this? We are waiting for you. Hurry up!”

The dream reminded her that money, fame, and property were temporary, and as a practitioner she could not risk losing precious virtue over such illusions. She understood this was a reminder as to what truly mattered in life. Sarkar said she felt her cultivation journey had only begun, and she plans to be more diligent in her cultivation.

Realizing and Resolving Trauma

Padma Purohit from Karwar said that while she meditated, her mind drifted back to her childhood. She knew that her parents wanted a son, and they were bitter that she was a female. She explained that this early rejection was buried deep inside her and, over the years, turned into resentment, anger, and eventually arrogance, which she later vented onto her own children.

She recounted that after this realization, she suddenly burst into tears and, naturally and effortlessly, began asking forgiveness from everyone in her life while also forgiving those who hurt her. Afterward she felt a profound inner peace, as if the attachments of anger, arrogance, and resentment had been lifted from her.

Padma also recognized a long-held attachment: the desire for people to like, respect, and accept her. The moment she realized this, she said a heavy burden she had carried for years was gone, and her heart felt incredibly light. She concluded that today, she felt calmer, steadier, and happier than before.

Growing and Going with the Flow

Riddhi from Nagpur said she knew about Falun Dafa because her mother practiced. Although she was initially reluctant, she was curious and in 2021, after graduating from college, Riddhi started reading Zhuan Falun. She said she wasn’t diligent at first, and only read the teachings when it was convenient and she only occasionally did the exercises—she did not truly understand how profound Falun Dafa is.

When she expected a promotion after two years of performing well at work, she was devastated to see her friends promoted while she was not. She considered contesting the decision, but remembered Master’s teachings about letting go of attachments. She kept her mind steady.

She recounted that a few weeks later the company sent her to Mumbai on assignment with allowances, which proved to be more valuable than the promotion. There she met other practitioners, joined their group activities, and her cultivation state improved.

A colleague later told her that an administrative error caused her promotion to be overlooked, and it was corrected. Reflecting on this, she said she understood why Master teaches practitioners to follow the natural course and maintain righteous thoughts. Tribulations may feel unbearable and situations unfair, but when we can remain calm and eliminate our attachments, the situation is often resolved and it’s an opportunity to improve.

Spiritual Cultivation

Shradha Saboo from Bengaluru said she practiced Falun Dafa for nine years and reflected on her attachment to health and fitness. She said she was a fitness enthusiast—including disciplined yoga postures and strict diets, and others admired her. Yet despite her efforts her hair fell out, and she had lipomas and painful periods, which led her to research the human body extensively. She recounted that after reading The China Study and later encountering Falun Dafa in 2018, she initially sought to use the practice to rid herself of ailments. Over time, however, she realized that Falun Dafa did not work in the way she thought. Even as her weight increased during COVID, she came to see that the true value of Falun Dafa lay not in external techniques, but in improving oneself and becoming a better person.

She said repeatedly reading Zhuan Falun helped her understand Master’s teachings about mind and matter, and the importance of introspection. She quoted passages explaining that cultivation requires upgrading one’s virtue rather than focusing only on the exercise movements. She said even small realizations, such as noticing how she stood on the outer edge of her feet while cooking, led her to reflect on the harmony of time and space and the need to use the main consciousness in cultivation. She concluded that if a practitioner relies only on meditation and exercises without improving xinxing, they risk straying from spiritual cultivation and will not reap the benefits. Saboo emphasized that only by letting go of attachments and improving her xinxing could she find clarity and progress in her practice.
